Why don't I see a cookie banner?

I'm a big fan of the GDPR, but not of the cookie banners that emerged after its introduction.

In many cases it's not necessary at all to pass visitor data on to third parties that don't take your privacy very seriously.

For this website I've therefore chosen to use privacy-friendly Fathom Analytics. I also don't use any external scripts or fonts. This means I don't need to ask whether this website may place cookies on your device.
