Hi, I’m Wim

My name is Wim Griffioen and for over twenty years I've had a passion for everything related to the internet and software development. In my first year of secondary school I built my very first website about Formula 1 and I haven't stopped building websites, apps and SaaS platforms since. Since 2026 I've been doing this under the name Command-G, building websites, API integrations and apps for consumers and businesses.

Outside of work I'm just as happy making things. I love spending long hours in the kitchen cooking or baking. To stay fit I ride my road bike as much as I can. I also enjoy reading and gaming, and I love to travel.

Why Command-G?

The G in Command-G stands for my last name: Griffioen, Dutch for "griffin", the mythical creature that is half lion, half eagle. As an avid Apple fan, a name based on a keyboard shortcut felt right immediately. And Command-G has another meaning too: it's the shortcut for "find next". That feels fitting: I'm always looking for the next solution, the next challenge, the next piece of the puzzle.

Tools

I'm a big fan of the Laravel framework and its ecosystem. With over 20 years of PHP experience, I use Laravel to build technically complete solutions quickly.

• PHPStorm for writing code

• Statamic when I need a CMS

• Sketch for creating digital designs
